Ron DeSantis: Strong on Mickey Mouse, Weak on The Deep State
Ron’s revealing week…
President Trump has been hitting Florida Governor Ron DeSantis hard in recent weeks as America gears up for the 2024 Republican Primary.
DeSantis hasn’t yet announced that he’s running for President, but everything points to the fact that he’s going to jump in to the race eventually. In early polling, DeSantis is running in 2nd place, and has a long way to go to really give Trump a run for his money.
That being said, I’ve been team Trump AND team DeSantis since the beginning.
I know that’s not really how it works in politics, especially in Presidential primaries, but our movement is stronger when we have MORE people willing to enter the fray and stand up for the America First movement and the American people. We are stronger together.
Ron DeSantis has been an excellent Governor and has done a great job enacting America First policies in the State of Florida. In many ways he’s put other Republican governors to shame because of their lack of action on key GOP priorities.
I’ve even pushed back on those that say that DeSantis is “establishment” and “controlled opposition”, because those claims didn’t fit what I saw out of Governor DeSantis.
Until this week anyway..
Last week news broke that President Trump was preparing to be arrested by a lawless Manhattan prosecutor. Though some have fallen off of the Trump train over the course of the last few years, this news of prosecutorial corruption rallied the GOP behind President Trump and in defense of the rule of law and the Constitution.
But Governor Ron DeSantis was SILENT.
Monday during a press conference Governor DeSantis was finally asked about the issue, and his response was…WEAK!

A few highlights from Ron’s speech:
“We’re not involved in this and we’re not gonna get involved in it”
“I’ve got real issues to deal with”
“I don’t know what goes into paying porn stars”
From this clip alone it is clear that Ron DeSantis misses the point entirely.
This isn’t a political sideshow or tabloid gossip.
This is an attack on the Constitution and an assault on the rule of law.
It is a continuation of the Coup launched against President Trump, and an effort to influence the 2024 election.
This is a Deep State Operation through and through, and DeSantis should stand FIRM against this ridiculous government weaponization. This is an easy test and sadly DeSantis failed.
Apparently DeSantis is strong on Mickey Mouse but weak on the Deep State.
We need better from someone who has been largely considered the MAGA movement’s next in line for the throne. Now perhaps we’re starting to see why so many warned us about Ron’s establishment loyalities.
DeSantis followed this debacle up with an interview with Piers Morgan.
DeSantis states that he can “beat Biden” and win the Presidency.
It’s unclear how he can beat Biden if he can’t even beat Trump. He also calls Trump’s style chaotic and questions his leadership.
This is the wrong time for DeSantis to actually start campaigning for the Presidency.
If he wants the job ONE DAY, he’s going to have to win over the core Trump voter. His current actions will only alienate those of us uncertain about his potential as a candidate and President. Whoever takes the lead after Trump serves two terms will have to be a continuation of Trump’s style and agenda.
We want stronger America First leaders. We must refuse to go back to the weak GOP of old.
The last few days have been very revealing and we will have to continue to monitor Ron DeSantis’ words and actions.
It seems like Congressman Matt Gaetz might be the “Florida Man” better suited to follow Trump’s lead..
In fact, even Speaker Kevin McCarthy had a stronger response than DeSantis.
There is still time for DeSantis to pivot and become the leader we need him to be, but this week has shown us a lot about his character and his priorities.
America needs a leader willing to stand up to our enemies. One who understands the reality of the situation we’re in and the fact that The Deep State represents an existential risk to America.
Clearly Ron isn’t ready for Prime Time.
Let’s hope he does better going forward!

I’m afraid Ron has dashed any hopes of attracting the MAGA base to his run. President Trump is artfully showing us exactly who is with us and who is against us. And DeSanctimonious has been exposed for all to see.
