If Ron DeSantis Wants to be POTUS, He Should Drop Out NOW
RDS has a clear path to the White House, but his current actions could lead to destruction. Luckily, there is a better way..
It’s official: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is running for President.
We’ve known for several months that he was running, but yesterday DeSantis made it official on a “Twitter Space” live with Elon Musk. For those of you that don’t know, Twitter Spaces are glorified conference calls that are open to the public.
The Twitter space quickly shot up to 500,000 listeners, before crashing and shutting down. They got the space back up quickly, but the tech glitch was a major talking point for media and Twitter pundits alike. DeSantis influencers took the crash as a good sign as “DeSantis overwhelmed the system”..despite the fact that a few weeks ago Musk hosted a live space with over 3 million listeners..so obviously the servers weren’t overwhelmed by Ron’s huge levels of support. That’s just pundit hype.
If you’d like to listen to the Twitter Space and DeSantis’ announcement, you can do that HERE.
Personally the energy wasn’t very high, and it would’ve been much better if Ron were in front of a crowd. His substance was good, and Ron can definitely walk the talk, but elections aren’t won on ideas these days. Emotions rule.

Let me remind you, despite his flaws, I’m a Ron DeSantis fan.
I am not however, a Ron DeSantis for President in 2024 fan.
In fact, by running in 2024 DeSantis is damaging his brand and hurting his chances at ever being President.
Donald Trump is going to be the GOP Nominee in 2024. Full stop. Nothing is going to stop the Trump Train. Trump could be in federal prison and he would still win the primary. That’s just reality. He was the most popular Republican President in US History and our movement is getting stronger daily.
Trump is going to WIN the primary, and then he’s going to WIN the general election.
For DeSantis to make moves in the polls, he’s going to have to hit Trump hard.
Sure, Trump has his flaws, but he’s an unstoppable force, and he’s going to steamroll DeSantis. Ron simply isn’t ready for prime time. He’s a great Governor, and brings a lot to the table in terms of substance and potential, but he’s got a lot to learn as well. He was slow to issue a statement when Trump was indicted. He’s been weak on foreign policy issues and has a history of flip flopping. In fact, the more DeSantis steps up, the LESS the base likes him.
If Ron DeSantis wants to be President, he should have waited to run until 2028. Not just out of loyalty to Trump and the base, but because he isn’t as strong as he needs to be as a candidate. He can get there, but right now he’s damaging his brand, and if he hits too hard or steers too close to the GOP establishment wing of the party, he will never be able to recover.
I want Ron DeSantis to do well and be a leader. We need MORE strong leaders in the MAGA movement if we hope to survive for the long run. Personally, I like Matt Gaetz more than DeSantis. He’s a warrior and pushed the entire GOP Congressional Caucus to the right.
We also don’t need to shun people that have potential if they align with us on 80% of our core issues and policies. We need to focus on developing candidates at all levels of government. The movement will be stronger if we focus on building a wide and deep coalition of leaders and we don’t rely on Trump 100%.
A rising tide lifts all ships.
We need a red tide to sweep across America so we can flood our institutions with people that love America. Currently our institutions are so corrupted it’s not certain if they can be salvaged.
So Ron, if you’re reading this, I wish you well, but you need to recognize the moment in History.
This is President Trump’s time to take the White House, and we stand behind him 100%. Think about how much stronger we’d be if the entire Republican Party was already united behind Trump and focused on defeating our enemies. And focused on things that matter like BALLOT HARVESTING. If we don’t get serious about ballot harvesting and voter registration, we’re doomed. We have to learn the lessons of 2020 and 2022 or they’re going to steal the 2024 election as well.
So stay focused. Stay engaged. Keep fighting!
Do you agree with my thoughts on DeSantis? I know some of you think he’s “Deep State” or a RINO, but I don’t buy that. At least not yet. This primary season will be very revealing.
Let me know your thoughts!
